Professional Development in Minecraft for Educators!

Minecraft training – We’ll be holding some professional development sessions on the Minecraft for Teachers server. Plans are afoot for some basic Minecraft training class as well as some advanced ones around redstone, maybe command blocks and possibly WorldEdit.

This is a great opportunity for teachers new to Minecraft to increase your knowledge and skills within the game as well as see some things that have already been done in the game. We’re hoping to have teachers do some sample lessons and share with others. After these workshops, we’ll make these worlds downloadable, so you can use them in your class, if your school Minecraft version is compatible with this one, which is vanilla, ver. 1.10.

Video Tutorials – Check the bottom of the Minecraft for Teachers page for helpful videos. Make sure you load the TeamSpeak software as it will make it much easier for you to communicate on the server. Soon, I’ll be adding a video on how to use the resources on PlanetMinecraft.com, there is a lot of useful material there. And once you learn how to load those worlds, I think you will find it extremely helpful.
